Learn Few Things Interior Designing
In the interior design of any building, there are various important aspects that should be borne in mind. By adhering by the basic tenets mentioned below, most of the important issues will be taken care of. Each of these has an important role to play and it may be used in several ways on the basis of the kind of space you are working on.
Unity: As per this principle, while designing the interiors, caution must be taken to maintain consistency in the overall design, as a building should be treated as a single entity, which is separated into multiple parts by walls. It will be prudent to keep in mind the overall scheme of things.
Balance: This entails the optimal spread of different items in an area. Objects which have similar visual appeal should be put at different points in the room to achieve a balance along a predetermined axis. Balance can be of three types. The most fundamental type is symmetrical balance, which is very easy to strike. Asymmetrical is the next type of balance, which is very trendy, but demands a lot of deliberation and creativity. The third kind of balance is radial, where you pick an appropriate centre and position things relative to it.
Proportion: This is essentially to do with the dimensions and proportions of the articles. It is important that objects in a space go well together with respect to their sizes. Lack of proportion will cause imbalance that will adversely affect the look of the room, as some objects will be over emphasized while others will not get enough visibility.
Focus: Good quality interior design requires a focal point in the space. What kind of focal item you select is up to you. It could be any attractive thing like a nice painting or a furniture item. It is crucial that this item be related to the design of the overall room and that it has an impression on the observer. It must be appealing without appearing irrelevant in the room.
Rhythm: This is again a necessary aspect of good interior design. The design should seem to flow as per a pattern from one point to the next. Using many curves, ornate walls or ceilings, decorative fixtures at regular distances, alternate shades etc can help attain a perceptible rhythm.
Interior designing of a space will be consistent if these basic principles are kept in mind. It is always a good idea to take help from an interior design specialist to assist you on these aspects and all the nuances.
